Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates

Jessica Peterson

Part II of my United Arab Emirates photos…Abu Dhabi, the oil rich capitol. Abu Dhabi is a little less glamorous and populated than Dubai, but a lot wealthier and older. We saw gorgeous one-of-a-kind tapestries at the women’s craft village, got up close and personal with a camel, and even saw wild camels galloping through the desert.

I later learned that this woman did not want to be photographed. She is the artisan of these beautiful tapestries.

Emirati women still wear these masks, which symbolize a bird.

Ferrari World was made with more steel than the Eiffel Tower. It sits like a futuristic beacon in the truly barren desert.
