Santi Mandala Villa & Spa was nothing short of magical. For $100/night we had a private villa with exotic outdoor bathroom at this quiet resort in Ubud, Bali. There’s nothing as serene as sitting on your private deck gazing at a waterfall and watching the birds flitter by. The grounds are lush, hilly, and floral with lots of stone paths to explore on your spa day in, which you’ll need after pounding the pavement for a day or two. The excellent breakfast spread included pink crepes and a pool view. Read my full Bali travel story.

You had me at private deck and waterfall! Holy cow that place is gorgeous- I love the pool, it’s so inviting. And the rooms are sumptuous. I’m totally sold– take me there! Very cute dresses, too 🙂

Absolutely amazing! The bathtub outside in the middle of nature – how great is that. I personally love all these small details there everywhere in the architecture, the perfectly fitting plants placed everywhere and of course the Spa area… that’s exactly the kind of Dream Spa vacation I would do as well.

What a laid back place. Perfect fusion of nature and luxury. I wont mind shelling out a 100$ for one night there.

This is my kind of place – a luxurious villa in nature. You’re so right – there’s nothing as serene as sitting on your private deck gazing at a waterfall and watching the birds flitter by. These beautiful villas are making me really want to go to Bali.
