You already knew you earned mile for dollar charging purchases to your credit card, right? You can earn even more miles by shopping select merchants through your mileage program website. If you follow the links from your mileage program website to the merchant, you can earn bonus miles. You already shop online, so why not earn double, triple, or even ten times the miles?

Rental Cars

Book rental cars through you airline mileage program website to get bonus miles and/or extra miles per dollar spent. Usually, promo codes are required at booking, so make sure they appear on the checkout window if booking online. I recently earned 1,500 bonus miles on two car rentals in the States.

Completing Surveys

United Airlines fans can celebrate because they can earn FREE miles just for completing surveys on OpinionMilesClub. The surveys vary in length and the amount of miles you’ll earn. Miles are automatically deposited into your United account. This is also an easy way to keep your United Airlines account up to date and prevent your miles from expiring. OpinionMilesClub has a promotion for new members that offers 300 miles just for completing your profile. (SOURCE: themileadvisor.com)

Marriott’s Point Plus Program

Marriott’s Point Plus program allows you to earn up to 2,000 Marriott points per month by interacting with Marriott on social media. For example, you can earn 25 Marriott points just for using the hashtag #MRpoints on Twitter. (SOURCE: themileadvisor.com)
