I often travel for concerts and I’ve been to Chicago for a couple of shows now, the latest of which was Broods. Chicago is an excellent music city, primarily known for jazz but with a thriving indie rock scene too.
The New Zealand electro-pop duo played to an enthusiastic crowd of Millennials. In fact, the brother and sister duo are in their early twenties themselves. You may have heard of one of their contemporaries, something like Lorde. (Remember when I shot Lorde?)
I jumped into the photographers pit to witness singer Georgia and brother Caleb pump out one dance anthem after another. If you haven’t listed to their newest album, Conscious, get thee to iTunes!
Stay tuned for a video and a new Chicago top ten list.

Awesome photos! I also travel for concerts but I rarely have my camera with me, how can you get in the photographers pit? Broods are so good, I love their songs, especially Heartlines and Conscious from the new album 😀

Hi Vlad. Thanks for the kind words. I contacted Broods’ management team before the show. My favorite songs on Conscious are “Hold the Line” and “Freak of Nature.”

These photos are so awesome! They really look great. I can’t believe you were able to get so close to them!

I was in the photographer’s pit for the first few songs, but yeah, the crowd’s were pretty close since it was a small club rather than an arena.
