These images come from the New Zealand archive. Skyline Rotorua was a stop on our 9-day Campervan Mystery Tour across North and South Islands. I was pleasantly surprised to find furry creatures at the top of the hill — two friendly alpacas and a handful of sheep noshing on the foliage. In case you didn’t know, I get a little weak in the knees over fuzzy animals. My husband regularly says to me, “Look Dear, a kitty,” as if I’m five. The sad part is that I do look.
But I digress. As you can see, there are majestic views of Lake Rotorua from the top of the Skyline, so I recommend it. There is also a pricey restaurant with great-looking buffet. I ordered a Mojito and sat outside to take in the view and snap these photos. After that, we jetted off to one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen, Te Puia Geothermal Park.

Mojitos and Alpacas overlooking the dramatic landscape of Rotorua, New Zealand. It doesn’t get much better than that!
