I love living 5 hours from major Asian cities like Tokyo and Hong Kong. It means I can jet off to the upcoming Fuji Rock Festival to see some of my favorite indie bands perform. We did just that a few summers ago at Summer Sonic.
I’m especially excited about Fuji Rock Festival because it’s set in (you guessed it) the base of majestic Mt. Naeba. I’ve been invited to cover the festival as a journalist and photographer. I’ll be staying under the nose of Naeba at the Prince Naeba Hotel (pictured below).
It’s not too late to get your tickets! But first, check out this sweet line-up. There are so many all-star indie bands and the line-up is heavy on ’90s favorites like Basement Jaxx, Travis, The Flaming Lips, The Orb, and Buffalo Daughter. Having seen SBTRKT live before, I’m super psyched to see perhaps my favorite new electronic artist again. Also excited about Bombay Bicycle Club, whom I just discovered a few months ago.
